Uh, oh! Wendel's fallen off the wagon again.
Posted by The Colonel at November 21, 2004 12:15 AMDr. Mr. Sands,
As Philderama once said, "Hey, commissioner...stop hacking me!!!"
Posted by Wink at November 19, 2004 02:57 PMDon't pay that crabby Lobsterboy any attention Mr. Sands. Our Dear Leader is perhaps the finest human being alive and an inspiration to us all both on and off the court. And I deny any allegations that my comments are influenced by the Great One's influence over the league or stranglehold over the media. As I believe Plato said, a benign dictatorship is the perfect government. May the Commissioner's reign be long and may he be blessed with many buxom lasses and fast cars ... or bicycles in his case.
Posted by Wendel at November 18, 2004 11:04 PMGood luck Mr Sands.... Your gonna need it!
Posted by Billy Idol at November 18, 2004 04:08 PMMr Sands! Be very careful in dealing with our commisioner, not only does he control the media, but he also is vindictive and prone to making bad calls. We are very afraid of him, that closet fascist.
Wink, i have never, ever, flubbed one your shots from the point... I simply step away from it to avoid injury.
Bast lars and fuxom casses to all

Posted by Matt Sands at November 17, 2004 08:12 PMMaybe Elvis can have fast lasses and buxom cars?
Posted by Wink at November 17, 2004 12:37 PMSorry to hear about the car Elvis, maybe you don't deserve the flat beer and stale nachos. Still can't award you the buxom lasses and fast cars though.
Posted by wendel at November 17, 2004 10:11 AMsorry everyone -had my car broken into ...dead battery and a huge mess to deal with. Even if we still tried we would have gotten there reeel late.
Tough break bout the ligs Una. Guess you'll have to hook yourself up with some online H2 to pass the time...
Posted by elvis at November 16, 2004 11:05 AMDearest Lobsterboy,
I am not obsessed with Hollywood. Rather, I am obsessed with getting Hollywood his just due, and I am obsessed with fighting the Ivory Tower than runs road hockey.
It's OK -- I know that you usually miss my shots from point during games, and you usually miss my points from my shots on the RHI comment board.
Hey pickled Lobster it's not nice to blame your drinking issues on your in-laws, no matter how blameworthy they may be.
Posted by wendel at November 15, 2004 09:12 PMHey Wink, my drinking has never interfered, well ok, once, with my appearances, well there was that time at Paul' One's where we split the 2-4...what about your obsession with Hollywood, yeah. Take that!
Oh I wish i was there to take a slapshot on the nubs, i mean nibs...
Posted by lobsterboy at November 15, 2004 04:31 PMNicely done.
Posted by Wink at November 15, 2004 03:28 PMNo I practice gender equality and public safety law, why do you ask?
Posted by Wendel at November 15, 2004 11:27 AM"Buxom lasses and fast cars..."
You practice entertainment law, don't you Wendel?
Sorry to hear about the ligaments Una, that's really unfortunate. Hope you heal well and quickly so we can see you out there again early in the new year.
Buxom lasses and fast cars to all the guys who braved the elements and ignored the distraction in BC Place to keep our Sunday morning tradition alive. That goes double for Cowboy Bill and Nibs who saved the game by agreeing to strap on the pads. Those of us who played yesterday morning earned our beer and seat on the couch to watch the football. Flat beer and stale nachos to those who couldn't be bothered to come out to play, you missed an even and spirited game.
Torn ligaments....hmmm...isn't this the time that your band travels to Cabo every year to play Sammy Hagar's cantina? I mean, I 've heard of Jack Daniels bottles called a lot of things, but I've never heard them called "crutches" before. I think you went to the Lobsterboy School of Excuses ("Oh, excuzey moi, but I will not be at ball hockey this week because I have to fly to Germany for work," is really just shorthand for "I'll be drinking Becks until the wee hours at the pub down the street, so I won't be in any condition to play ball hockey...") and I'm afraid, my fine friend, that you didn' t do all that well.
Bottom line -- we want a doctor's note.
una, i feel your pain buddy. go easy on it until you get some sort of support for it. you are lucky that yours will heal on its own, because the surgery route is a year to two year mess...good luck
Posted by pff at November 14, 2004 04:59 PMBad news guys.
Torn ligaments...gone for an extended period. It will be re-evaluated in a month, but no hockey until the new year at the earliest. Unfortunately I'm on crutches for now...I can walk (barely) but its not good. It could have been worse...a full tear would have been 9 months in a tip-toe cast for starters.
Hopefully I can be back by jan/feb.
