Comments: Frosty full-court game a first

Not really. The rest of the court has patches of ice. The problem is the eastern end of the courts don't get enough sun to thaw completely, then the sub-freezing temperatures overnight turn what has thawed back into solid ice. It would take a concerted effort of hacking and chopping to get rid of it all. Temperatures are supposed to be above freezing day and night by the middle of next week, so we should be good next week.

Is there enough room for a three quarter court game with one goalie?

There is still ice, 2-3 inches thick and very hard, on about 1/3 of the court, where the shade persists.

See the Facebook page for a photo of how it looks.

The courts are still not playable. There is a thick layer of ice underneath the snow and slush.

Courts are looking rough. I'll swing by tomorrow and assess more closely. Check back here later in the day for an update.

Sunday's game is CANCELLED. There's too much snow and frozen slush on the court. Hopefully the thaw moves in this week.

Closing comments until Saturday for check-ins. Hopefully this snow is gone by Sunday ;-)
