won't be able to make it, shooting a music video. in the rain. joy.
Posted by pfg at November 6, 2008 06:59 PMsounds like Velma would have gotten a better nickname if it wasn't for the meddling kids!
In all seriousness, I agree with Elvis, let's permanently retire the Scooby-Doo nicknames...its sucked the fun and creativity out of the naming process.
And kudos to Colonel! Playing net is not easy and it sounds like you did an unbelievable job.
I may still be out for 1 or 2 weeks depending on how the leg continues to heal.
Posted by Beetle Boy at November 4, 2008 11:51 AMway to step up, there, colonel; a near shut out is no mean feat, take if from one who knows. and that second photo of you is priceless! i think we should have a contest, best caption for that photo.
Posted by pfg at November 3, 2008 09:48 PMhow bout we get off the Scooby-doo train altogether?
"Jinkies roadsters, I think we are all out of scooby snacks."
Posted by Cowboy at November 3, 2008 02:37 PMVelma it is! Or perhaps Daphene.
I'll happily take Fred instead!
Posted by So-called Velma at November 3, 2008 09:21 AMThanks Gumper. 5 assists ... I suppose that means I got beat by a few long shots today. Can you imagine the media hype had we found some ridiculous way to earn a shut-out today?
Not sure I'm too fond of the name Velma? How about Mystery Machine instead. Other thoughts?
Posted by The Colonel at November 2, 2008 10:12 PMNo comments about my 5 assists...boooooo!
Great game Colonel.
