Ya see Wink, you opened the door for Newguy with your comments regarding the anonymous spectator-offering him an easy way to deflect the roadsters judging gaze -and what does he do? He closes the door again.

You're a good man for offering Newguy a way out...and a better man for slappin him around more when he didn't take it.

I knew if I waited long enough you would provide me with original material. You went back and counted your team's record for the past two seasons? I can't believe we don't get your plus-minus from that time. (I'm just kidding...don't do it.) What were you thinking? You may figured you have proved your point but you've actually proved your critics' -- it's just road hockey, so relax and have fun with it.
The smartest thing (only smart thing?) I think you've written is that you weren't going to write for awhile now. Too bad you don't have the good sense to actually do it.

FYI anon. I did some quick checking, last year my teams record was 7-3 + 1/2 the Stanley Stick,
I was fortunate to be on some good teams though.
This year I'm 1-2 (I think, the archives were better last year) but hoping that record will improve next Sunday.

This is my last post on this god forsaken blog, I will not be checking it either, so flame away it will be falling on deaf ears.

NewGuy, forgive the question, but what is an "asshat"? Is that like an ass-hat or is it more like a-sshat? If it's an ass-hat, then what would that look like? And who is your tailor? I'm pretty sure I can visualize the a-sshat so no need for clarification there.

(PS I know I missed Sunday and I'm the one pushing the "Don't play -- don't yap" rule, but I suggest this scenario was a special circumstance.)

It is true I've pissed Wink off, and he has pissed me off. But when we are on the courts for me anyway it’s all forgotten. I've won my share of games and I've lost just as many I'm sure, but I never be accused of quitting on my team.
I respect each and every single roadster game from Wink's booming shot and clever clearing passes to the Bird's great positional play in front of the net and even Elvis' hustle and uncanny ability to find the back of the net. It would seem however the respect for the roadsters game does not go both ways, perhaps I'm wrong, maybe I can't pass, and maybe I don't hustle enough. Its not easy playing my style of hockey, I will never get the press that other roadsters get because I don't consistently put up 10 goal games, but I like to think that whatever team I'm on is better for it, perhaps that’s just my ego talking but I will let my peers be the judge of that and not some asshat sitting on his PC commenting on a game he has probably never even played.

I agree with Wink. As I was scratched from the line up this week I have been careful thus far not to post or trash talk. But in this case I choose to lend my support to my fellow roadsters by challenging the "Anonymous Spectator" to pick up a stick to show us what you have on the courts (truth is we would rather you didn’t show as it is getting too congested anyway). Oh, and you don't get to pick your own nickname either; that territory is reserved for our beloved reporter – the ever-illusive Jay Suburb.

New Guy, on occasion I keep up on this Sunday morning road hockey game you all play. As a simple minded spectator, I would like to know exactly what it is that you "can do on the courts?" By all accounts, the media represents you as a selfish player, with a me-first attitude, who can't score. You represent yourself as a player to whom winning is the most important thing; however,history seems to dictate that you have also been unable to claim victory. So, please tell all of us out here in fantasy land exactly what you CAN do on the courts; other than continually sway the game in favour of your opposition while also losing any battle of wits on this posting forum?
