Back in black

Making his first regular start of the season on Sunday, Lobsterboy said he needed every edge he could get. But an intimidating all-black wardrobe wasn't enough as he was overwhelmed, 20-9, by a potent offensive barrage that included three of the game's most explosive scorers and a wily veteran to quarterback that offense.

"I have to set the tone," says Lobsterboy of his frightening pallor. "The players have a jump on me, they know each other, they know their moves."

Sunday, in the second consecutive game plagued by wet, slippery conditions, that meant springing the odd man rush behind sputtering defenders who couldn't hustle back fast enough.

"On the wet court, it's nearly impossible for somebody to get back in a hurry," says Paul One, who played one of his strongest games of the season despite a lingering illness that almost kept him out of the lineup. "We were just trying to find an open man. You want to get as many shots as early as possible on (Lobsterboy), you wanna test him."

For Lobsterboy, the exam started early, as his high-powered opponents jumped to a quick 8-2 lead, batting in rebounds and cross-court passes with nary a challenge.

"When you get two, three, four cracks at a shot, eventually it's going to go in," says Paul On

Sorry Wink, just kidding about the Hollywood return.

Beetle Boy won't be returning to the courts until Sunday, December 7th. I know no one will believe me but none of my absences have been weather-related.

Hollywood will be making his return this Sunday!

nyet lobsterboy, i don't like to kick the wounded when they are down. Once you haf fixed your game, then you come talk to me about rematch...
and how come we've never heard anything from Kid or Bird on this site? they don't haf computers in maple ridge? Or perhaps Kid's parents haf put censor on internet; given the content of this site so far, nobody over 18 should be allowed to enter. Oh, i am sorry, was that a shot at Kid? well, not too worried, there probably won't be any response from him...

Geez look what you started Newgay...

Posted by: elvis at November 26, 2003 01:27 PM

pfg, er Mr Pig, dare we make this a double or nothing match, when your hoof is better? Or should we have an old fashioned olympic style shoot out match?

"Billy Idol your [sic] going down"? Enough with the gayness Lubesterboy.
And i bought cheap beer at six pack challenge because a) you wussed out year before and didn't deserve honor of premium beer, b) i like cheap beer and i knew I was going to be drinking it later anyway c) Okanagan Spring beer is neither premium nor beer. it is worse than fetid borscht.
PFG rocks! All hail his pigness!

new guy, i am proud of the fact that i have improved in goaltending. 20 goals in one hour, roughly 1 goal every 3 minutes, is better than my famous 6pack challenge against PFG, where i believe i let in 3 goals every minute...(btw PFG, i won't forget that i bought premium beer for you, and you bought industrial sludge beer, maybe you should be called PCG, pretty cheap goalie, PFG not pretty f...gay). Ooops the gay card again and newguy, did you have to bring up liberace?

Thanks Wink for the threat issued from Mtl, i look forward to the booming slapshot, the withering yells, and the intensity.

i agree with elvis, no love, take no prisoners, and Billy Idol your going down next weekend!

Way to go throwing in in the gay card Elvis.
This comming from the roadster that spends more time on his hair than Liberace.

I think Jay is trying to sanitize the stories to keep the poop talk down Newgay...oops, I mean Newg...no ...thats fine as it is!

Lobsterboy gets lit up for 20 goals in well under an hour and he still gets all the media love.
